We are Emily (mom), Megan (big sis) and Julia (little sis). Yes, we work together as a family, even roping Dad in quite often for advice and inventory help (he’s an accountant), and yes, we still get along! Megan, our economics major, started gratefulimages with Emily in 2002 with the idea of getting Emily’s watercolor images “out there” We’re obviously biased because she’s our mom, but other people agree with us when we say that Emily’s paintings have a way of touching people’s lives and we wanted to be able to share that with as many people as possible. Not long after that, Megan asked her little sister Julia if she could use her photography images on some note cards and the expansion began. From 12 watercolor images on blank note cards to hundreds of images on all sorts of products, we’ve grown, and grown and now have our own studio (dad is SO EXCITED that we’re not in his house anymore) and an amazing group of employees that we would be lost without.
